NSF EPSCoR Live! Embracing the Social Sciences in EPSCoR RII Opportunities
The U.S. National Science Foundation Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) team is pleased to announce its next EPSCoR Live! Embracing the Social Sciences in EPSCoR RII Opportunities event.
When: Thursday, October 3 from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm (CT)
Audience: This EPSCoR Live! session will be of particular interest to social science faculty in EPSCoR jurisdictions, faculty of all disciplines planning collaborative work with social scientists, and leaders within research administration. The session will appeal to faculty from all academic disciplines supported by NSF.
Summary of Topic: In this session, Dr. Lisa Cliggett (NSF EPSCoR), Dr. Eric Lindquist (Boise State University), and Dr. Jose Colom-Ustariz (NSF EPSCoR) will discuss the ways social scientists can leverage EPSCoR Research Infrastructure and Improvement (RII) grant opportunities, as well as workshop and planning proposals, in support of their research activities. EPSCoR RII grant opportunities that support social science research extend from individual investigator grants through the EPSCoR Research Fellows opportunity, to EPSCoR RII competitions emphasizing interdisciplinary research which benefit from the inclusion of social scientists at the planning stage and throughout the research endeavor. In this EPSCoR Live! session, participants will gain insight into the breadth of social science research opportunities in EPSCoR RII programs.
