Inaugural Student Pitch Event

The past month saw the first annual EPSCoR Student Pitch Event, hosted by EPSCoR Chief Technology Officers Mike Roof and Kevin Moore. A core objective of the EPSCoR program is capacity building, and these student pitches provided an opportunity to take the research being conducted in academic labs and explore potential real-world applications beyond just scholarly pursuits.

The event allowed students to present the projects they have been working on as part of the EPSCoR team's efforts. By pitching their research ideas, they could receive feedback and guidance on transitioning promising academic work into practical implementations that create value outside of academia. The student presentations offered a window into some of the key areas the EPSCoR team has been focusing on over this past year.
