Science Communication Training Program

Are you a scientist, engineer, or researcher looking to share your work with the public? Reiman Gardens offers a Science Communication Training Program designed to help you connect with diverse audiences through engaging, hands-on activities. This 5-month program, based on the Portal to the Public Framework, provides:

  • Professional development in science communication
  • Guidance on creating inquiry-based, hands-on activities
  • Opportunities to present at public programs

Program Details:

  • Cost: $200 (may be covered by department worktag)
  • Dates: Five sessions from January to May, plus two public program dates
  • Application Deadline: November 30

Open to graduate students, faculty, and science professionals committed to improving their public engagement skills. Past participants praise the program for enhancing their ability to explain complex research to diverse audiences, including children.
