The EPSCoR PUI Network is accepting proposals for Summer 2027 undergraduate research projects. The network connects primarily undergraduate institutions across Iowa with the statewide Chemurgy 2.0 initiative, which supports biomanufacturing and biosciences research.
Faculty at eligible primarily undergraduate institutions are invited to propose projects that align with Iowa EPSCoR research threads. Selected faculty mentors will host undergraduate students for hands-on summer research experiences while contributing to a statewide effort in biobased innovation, advanced manufacturing, and data-driven science.
Summer research gives students opportunities to build technical skills, explore careers, and prepare for graduate study or employment. Faculty mentors can shape the student research experience, expand collaborations and connect their work to Chemurgy 2.0.
Faculty interested in applying should submit the proposal form and upload a project narrative by November 15, 2026. Learn more about Summer 2026 projects and contact participating faculty members with questions.
